Robert Bell Back to School Kickoff

This event is designed to support Buford City Schools students and their families by providing essential supplies and a fun, welcoming environment to kick off the new school year. Below are answers to some of the most common questions we receive.

1. Who can attend this event?

All students and families in the Buford City School System (BCSS) are welcome to attend. The event is free and open to all BCSS schools and grade levels.

2. Do I need to register to attend?

No registration is required for general attendance. Just show up at Buford City Arena between 11 AM and 2 PM on Saturday, July 26, 2025. This event is for Buford City Schools students and their families.

3. What items are free for students?

Students will receive the following items at no cost:

  • Backpack
  • Water bottle
  • Toothbrush
  • Haircut
  • Clothing (limited availability, first-come, first-served)

4. Is everything at the event free?

No. While essential items for students are free, there will also be food, treats, and vendor items available for purchase.

5. What should we bring with us?

Please bring your student ID to help us verify enrollment. If you’re a new student without an ID yet, we can verify using parent or guardian information already on file with the school system.

6. Is the event outside?

Yes. The majority of the event takes place outside in the Buford City Arena parking lot. Some activities and giveaways will be held inside the arena.

7. Where should we park?

Please plan ahead, as many activities will take place in the arena parking lot. Parking will be available across the street at Tom Riden Stadium.

8. Can my business get involved?

Absolutely! Local businesses can:

  • Donate school supplies or funds
  • Sponsor the event and get recognition
  • Reserve a vendor booth to connect with the community
